Equipment & Capabilities
Sierra Machining & Manufacturing, LLC has the
capacity to handle machining jobs up to 40" x 20" x
20" 3 & 4-axis milling on our 2 Fadal 4020HT
machining centers as well as our Fadal 3016
machining center.
A new addition to our CNC milling department is a
Fadal 3016 Vertical Machining Center. 10,000 rpm,
multi-processor control, 21-tool tool changer with Cool
Power refrigerated ball screws and casting. With a
30" x 16" x 20" capacity this is a welcome addition to
our equipment list.
All CNC jobs are programmed via state of the art
CAD/CAM software, and designed with Autodesk ®
3-D parametric solid modeling software.
Sierra also has conventional machines as well, such
as a Clausing Colchester 21" x 80" engine lathe.
In the welding area we have a Miller Syncrowave
250DX TIG, a Miller Spectrum 2050 Plasma Cutter, a
300 amp capacity Hobart Fabstar MIG with Aluminum
spoolgun, a 600 amp capacity Hobart Excel-Arc 6045
CV MIG with Aluminum spoolgun, a 200 amp capacity
Lincoln MIG, & Oxyfuel cutting and welding as well.
We have the capability to custom grind job-specific
cutters on our K.O. Lee tool and cutter grinder. And of
course we have general support equipment such as
drill presses, grinders, and many custom fixtures as
well as a 6000# Caterpillar forklift.
Sierra also offers vibratory deburring in our C&M
3cubic foot vibratory deburring machine.
